 Hi all!
Haven't been on here for a few months but thought I would share some things with you. I am 21 months out from my surgery date and have lost 50-60 lbs. (My weight has been fluctuating.) Today I am visiting my nutritionist for a "refresher." I feel as though I still need to lose 50 more lbs. and it just isn't coming off. I am getting frustrated with being stuck at this plateau for the last year and need to see what I can do to get back on track. Like a lot of others, I am slipping back into old habits so hopefully seeing her will "light a fire" under me! Wish me luck and I hope everyone has a great day!

Jen,

First of all CONGRATS on your weight loss!! That's remarkable, and you should be proud!!!

Secondly, I am sooooooo glad you are doing this. I tell newbies and veterans a like to see the Nutritionist (along with your Bariatric and/or Psych Doctors) at least once a year. It’s always good to: keep in touch and to make sure everything is fine, be reminded of “basic" rules, and/or learn new ways to be successful. Remember there are major difference between when we first have the operation and the living with it the rest of our lives.

Many may not be aware, but your insurance probably allows X amount of visits per year to the Nutritionists and both Doctors. Check into it.

Final thought … at least one to twice a year we bring in our cars for a tune-up, and/or do oil changes frequently in order to keep it running properly. Aren’t we worth more than a hunk of metal?

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

I always go low carb to shake things up. Hopefully your NUT will be able to "lite your fire".
