looking older? my lover likes fat girls? skin, skin, and more skin
Plastic surgery plastic surgery plastic surgery! I now look 20 years younger! I looked like I was in my 60's after losing so much! I carried a lot of my weight in my face! I have had over 20lbs if excess skin removed! My facelift took 8.5 hours! He said he had never seen that much excess skin on anyone's face!
12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
It's not easy dealing with the excess skin, I just keep telling myself that I am so much better off health wise that a little excess skin is worth it. I would love to have plastic surgery but it is just not financially possible for me. Someday maybe, but the weight loss and health benefits are. And as far as looking older, there are a lot products out there on the market that work wonders you just have to put yourself first and take care of your skin and grown old gracefully, it's better than the alternative.

I actually think I look better thinner than I did fatter. Mentally, I feel better about myself and have more confidence. More importantly I FEEL 200% better. I am off all my meds and I am running 5Ks ( I was barely able to go up a flight of stairs). I wanted to be able to run around and do things without feeling tired after 5 minutes. I can now. The thing is the life span for morbidly obese people is far shorter than healthy weight people. I want to live to see my grandchildren. I striving for a better quality life and for a longer life. To me that's more important than what a lover says. For me this would be a deal breaker. If I was dating someone that would rather me be fat and unhealthy....out the door he goes. And that's how I would deal with it.
I lost 154lbs total so I do have skin, skin, and more skin...but I don't care. Maybe I am in the minority here. But really I looked like an over inflated tire before...sure now all the air is out...but I don't care. Maybe it's just a state of mind. Maybe I have surrounded myself with positive people that tell me great things about me and cheer me on. Maybe that's what you need. Your lover sounds a bit selfish. I mean I understand you are attracted to what you are attracted to but obviously you weren't happy overweight. And this lover should respect your feelings.

I accidentally found out that laser skin treatments help HUGELY with tightening the skin on your face as you lose weight. I started getting treatments for my facial hair (tired of plucking!) and found it also was great for tightening the skin, especially under my neck. Never got turkey wattles.
I did recently have a tummy tuck as the overhanging skin has been driving me crazy forever - best thing I ever did. As for the rest of the excess skin, just gonna live with it.
As for your lover - gotta agree with the other posters, he should love YOU not a particular size of you. My hubby loved me as I gained all my weight and has supported me all the way through. Always said he wanted me & didn't care about the weight and skin and etc. Might be worth having a frank discussion with him about what turns him (and you) on and how to grow your relationship as your weight drops.

My bf and I met a year ago when I was a size 22, now I'm a size 12/14. He loves me just the same, tells me I look great and that I've gotten skinny, which I love to hear. He is attracted to all types of female shapes, but if he wanted me to be fat again, I couldn't do it, no matter how much I love him.
