A few questions....
Hi, I had the lap band done back in december, and am loving it so far!!! I've lost about 25lbs so far, and mor in inches. I work out every day, and most days twice a day.
So my question is, when does your skin start to tighten back up? I'm 23 and I'm starting to have flabby skin on my upper arms, thighs, and belly. Will it tighten back up, or just something I'm gonna have to live with?

Being as young as you are, you should have a good bit of elasticity left in your body. Depending on the amount of weight you have to lose and how many times you have gained and lost the weight, you should be able to firm up fairly well. However if you have a large amount of weight to lose and have had babies, etc. (tested the elasticity of your skin in the past), you will have some sagging skin to deal with. Me, I am 50 years old and have had two children (C-Sections) and have gained and lost enough weight for three people over the years, I have none left and I am sagging to heck and back. Good luck to you. Keep your skin moisturized and supple and you should be ok.

I think it really depends on genetics. I have a good friend who lost 80 lbs a few years ago at the age of 20. She had to have everything done. Lower body lift, breast lift, thigh lift and brachioplasty! She is young abs hadn't been that overweight, but her skin never firmrd up. Just wait and see. Start saving money now for plastics. I have spent about 20k on 3 surgeries and 8 procedures!
12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
I'm surprised that you have loose skin with just a 25lb loss! You sure? Bet you look just fine!
No worries just keep working at it. Build some muscles underneath your skin so that your skin can appear tighter and you can look toned.
You will probably end up looking great but there is no way that we can unstretch our skin. Yes, we can make it look better. At a BMI of 43 don't worry, really! Just love yourself better and better and it will change your outlook and the outlook of you on others.
All Best!

I agree with Lam, I think it's mostly genetics. I recently had twins, there are girls on my twins board whose stomachs bounced back right after the babies were born. Most of us aren't so lucky! And like Theresa said, the up and down weight gain/loss sure isn't working in our favor. You're young though, so your skin should still have a good amount of elasticity in it. Keep working out, that should definitely help.
Congrats on the weight loss!
