I had my first fill today and it went OK. but now when I'm standing, I have this weird pain in my right shoulder. It's a little painful and a little annoying at the same time. I'm  wondering if anyone else experiances this, and if it subsides in a day or two?

Thanks :)

It's usually the leftshoulder that is affected, but trapped air near the diaphragm can cause right shoulder pain, too. Do you still have your gallbladder? That's a normal symptom of gallstones... pain radiating through the right shoulder.

Referred pain:

Right shoulder: diaphragm, gall bladder, liver capsule, pneumoperitoneum.

Left shoulder: diaphragm, spleen, tail of pancreas, stomach, splenic flexure, pneumoperitoneum.

Hmmm I wonder what it could be then. I actually went to the ER a week and a half ago for extreme pain and was told it was from my gall bladder, so they removed it that day. Maybe it's just from having surgery and getting a fill so soon.

Thanks for the info :)

I still had some lingering pain after gallbladder removal. I think the stones might get caught in the ducts or something.

Your tummy could be mad about the surgery and then the fill and maybe it's swollen. If it presses upward into your diaphragm, it can cause pain in either shoulder.

Hope you feel better really soon!
