Watch 20/20

This friday Dr. Robin Blackstone will be speaking about weightloss surgery on 20/20. She is the president of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  This organization maintains the center of excellence program for wls. It develops criteria for hospitals to follow to make surgery safer for us.  Mona

I hope they don't have any WLS patients on there making unsubstantiated assumptions about addictions that probably have little basis in fact.  That would be a real bummer.

I watched it...not very happy with what they discussed. They just wanted to talk about two Dr's who should not be allowed to do lap band surgery! I think it just scared people away from it!
The good thing was they showed Carney and how she failed with her  bypass and now has a lap band. My thoughts are she needs to deal first with her relationship with food to make it work!

very disappointed that they did not show the positive on weight loss surgery!
