Make an appt to see the NUT the same time you go for your fill.
Find proteins you like and go back to making sure you watch your portion size and eat proteins first. My favorites are fish, turkey burgers, crab cakes, shrimp and eggs! Try not to get your proteins thru liquid and you will stay full longer. It really helps me to log everything as it keeps me accountable and I know what aim actually eating!
God luck!

You don't need a book or manuel. Just eat healthy. Do lower carb, sugar and fat. High protein. Don't drink with meals or 3 mins. after. Start making better food choices.
Now if you have been getting fills for 4 years and never got restriction, I would suggest revising. You've got to cut your losses sometime. Might be time to get a WLS that WORKS!
First I am wondering why you only have 3ccs after 4 years. Did you have problems and have to have an unfill. Did you not go in for regular fills in the beginning? I am just wondering.
I know how you feel. It's hard to eat right and eat small portions when you don't have a good fill. I have almost 10 ccs in my band. I need to have my band filled to feel the benefits of the band. So my first advice is to make sure you go in for your regular fills.
Second- eat high lean protein, low carb meals. Good carbs are fine...like fruits and veggies. A good place to see some examples of what people are eating is the "what are you eating" posts. I get so many ideas from others. Not everything they post is healthy but most of it is. And you can ask people questions about how they made a meal. Now the biggest changes I made to my diet was...NO MORE FAST FOOD!!! No more liquid calories (like soda, beer, milk shakes, lattes).
Third- exercise!!! This little tid-*****anged my life. If you exercise you will look and feel better.
Fourth- drink lots of water!!!

Hi Crystal,
I had no problems, The dr didnt feel that I needed a fill in the beginning because I steadily lost 70 lbs in the first 6 months with no fill. After that I lost my insurance, and couldn't always afford it and kinda just gave up. Now I am ready to get back. But I have to say I went to a support group at my hospital last night, and they were very unsupportive of bands there. I was the outcast and they were suggesting other surgeries. It was really discouraging
