slippage
Back in February 2012, I noticed a lack of restriction with my lapband , and not knowing until my body was feeling funny that I was able to get in to see my doctor. I have yet to have corrective surgery for this and was hospitalized with pnemonia a few weeks back. My question is : Is there anyone out there had a slippage? and how did it make your body feel at that time?
Have you actually been diagnosed with a slip?
A slip usually results in feeling tighter, not looser. For me it meant that I was fully obstructed and quite uncomfortable. A sudden loss of restriction can mean other things, such as erosion or a tubing leak.

doubt you had a slip- as said you would feel tighter. Infact, my doc. said if you have a slip you suddenly won't be able to keep anything down, not even water. Good luck, hope everything is ok with your band. If you've lost some weight that could be why you lost restriction, your stomach shrinks and band gets looser.
In some rare instances the band has also come unlatched. At any rate, if you are having a hard time getting an appointment, call and bug them a lot and/or tell them you'll be happy to take a cancellation to get in sooner.

I had a slip in 2007. It's horrible. I couldn't keep anything down. I had the worst reflux you could imagine. I choked multiple times during my sleep. I had a brown coca cola like substance come up my throat constantly. I lost 74lbs during that time. They fixed within days of my diagnosis. A slipped band can cause axphiciation (sp?) during sleep.
