Who's up for B*TCHFest????
For you NEW KIDS, HERE ARE THE RULES:
"B*TCHFest" is provided as a public service to those of us who have gripes and grievances but who (whom?), for whatever reason, lack a regular forum in which to air them. You are welcome to voice any problems - large or small, important, mundane or ridiculous - that currently have your panties wadded, your shorts frosted and your gears ground. Don't hold them in and risk future medical issues, wrinkles and/or those pesky gray hairs.
ANY and ALL issues that are plaguing you are open for you to voice; there are no "sacred cows." They say that "feelings aren't facts", so if you're feeling it, it's legit to you. NO ONE is allowed to flame a poster for something he or she writes, however commiseration is not only welcomed but encouraged. Please, no personal attacks against other OH members (at least, not by name) and PLEASE, NO SURGERY WARS!
I'll start you off with a few gripes of mine, and you all can join in at any time! No limits - come back as many times as you like!
WARNING! Adult content ahead! Posts may (and probably will) contain "adult" content and language. I know that MINE will. Rated TV-MA.
- Cruelty to and neglect of animals is making me apoplectic! I had to (couldn't, in good conscience, ignore the situation) run up to Waterbury yesterday to pull this little guy from their shelter. He is so skinny that he makes a supermodel look overweight, has horrendous infections and both ears, and what may or may not be a broken, neglected and poorly healed leg. What kind of people do that to animals???? (Well, I know the answer: ********)
Regardless, he's rescued now, frightened of his own shadow, but things for him can only get better from here.
- What's up with people who just can't figure out that it might be a better idea to walk on the SIDEWALK than in the middle of the street? Or, even worse, women with babies in strollers, thinking that the street is a good idea. WTF? Or even WORSE, people crossing the street at night in the middle of the block, while wearing all black. Can anyone say "invisible"?
- I love my gym, but does it have to be as loud as a damned rave? I get it. Music is nice, but dang! And hardly anyone listens to it, because everyone's got either an iPod or phone that features iTunes.
Okay, that should get you guys going. Have fun!

Well Bless you for rescuing this sad little guy. I have zero patience for people who abuse animals. I have two dogs I love dearly and wouldn't think of running out of a burning building before finding them and taking them WITH me!
And I agree with all your gripes above! Seriously, what's up with mothers pushing strollers down the middle of a street??????

They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. ~ Carl Buechner
I'm with you. Thank goodness there are people like you *****scue them! A friend of mine and I are working with a group to try to open a new animal rescue sanctuary in N FL and provide low cost/no cost spay and neutering and education to children on how to treat animals. My friend volunteers, rescues and fosters sooooo many! I can only stand my one because he is so big!
I'm taking steroids for a crazy allergic reaction I had on my back. How is that they can simultaneously make it hard to sleep and at the same time, not give me any more energy? Seriously. I'm freakin' exhausted here!!
