Not loosing

I hit a 6 week plateau. I finally broke through it in the past three weeks & have lost 12 lbs in that time. I had to decrease my calories & increase exercise. I decreased my calories to 900 to 1200 a day-not enough so I still wasn't losing. I try to keep my calories around 1400 now & it seems to be working. I was up to around 1800 a day when I hit my plateau..
