That is sad & scarey! Of all the complications that can happen I never thought death was one of them, other than during the surgery itsself.

Welcome back Airhead! I was wondering what happened to you. Hope things are going well.

You know as anti-band as I am, I have to say that death as a result of the band is very rare. However I have been reading about several close calls the last 6 months that I have had the failed band group. It's really scarry! :-(

The more weight I lose the more active I have beome. I'm always running here & there instead of sitting on the couch doing nothing, which was what I used to have to do. My band has been a big help in getting me where I am now but I am ready for my revision. It's done it's job, it's to full capacity and there are times when I feel it mving. Scares me a little.

This is so, so sad. It hits home for me because I know that if my doctor had not been on top of things, this whole post could have been about ME.

Scares the hell out of you doesn't it?! So glad you're ok and this was prevented in your case. Reading that kind of makes you want to count your lucky stars, doesn't it?!

Made me hug my little guy a little closer today, that's for sure. To think I could have missed his growing up literally brings tears to my eyes.
