Hurts to drink even water
Too tight....... the day before I went in for a UGI (because I was having pain for a few days, hadn't had a fill in over a year.... my doc is 1hour 15 away so that is why they sent me for UGI first) I was able to eat a 2oz tenderloin filet and some broccoli but the next day at noon the barium wouldn't go through the band......I said the same thing how can I eat a steak but can't get the barium through? They did a unfill on me the same day.....
I am almost up to the same fill level I had when I had the severe pain for days so now they think I may have had a bad stuck episode and I was irritated (I think a supplement that I tried got stuck).... at the time of the unfill the Surgeon said that my stomach muscles may have grown making the band tighter He said that from being tight and the stomach working hard to push the food through made the stomach lining thicker (nice to know I was building some muscle lol).
Now I realize that maybe only getting down (2 oz) of tenderloin or staying full for over 4 hours on a shake should have been an indication I was on the tighter side....oh and the occasional heartburn when drinking alot of water......
Many things can cause you to be tighter at different times and over time, but better to be a little on the loose side to allow for those times...(being on the loose side for me at this point is called band preservation.....I need to hang on to it as long as I can lol).
Now if no TOM, allergies or stress I can eat around 3-4 oz meat, some veggies and a tator tot or two which I think is more on par to what it is supposed to be.....
Keep us posted, I hope all goes well.....
