Tomorrow I go for an Upper GI..TO check out my band.. Had alittle trouble with getting stuck alot and being to tight..Had .6 cc's (had 4.6cc's in my band & this was only my 2nd fill in 3 yrs) removed last Friday and I can really tell the difference. Then on Friday I am having a Cystoscopy Exam & Cystometrogram Test. To find the reason for my incontinence..Has anyone ever had these tests?? (for incontinence).. I have had problems since my hysterectomy in 1998. (I was taking Oxybutin). Then after my lap band (in 2009) it slowed down alittle but, now it is back with vengence..I might end up having a mesh (sling) to help with the incontinence..Any information is greatly appreciated.. Anyone have the mesh/sling???? Lucky

Hi Lucky,
I had a cystoscopy done last week. I thought it would be horrible, but it was only slightly uncomfortable. Mine was done to check for bladder cancer since urine tests are concluding that I have blood in my urine. (No cancer, thankfully. Most likely kidney stones.) I hope your test goes as well as mine did. I was seriously ready to kick the doctor and run out as fast as I could when he suggested the cystoscopy, but I decided to be a grown up for once.
My mother in law had a prolapsed bladder and had a sling. I helped her a lot. Sorry I don't know more about this issue, but I wish you the best with your tests.
Take care,
Nicci

thanks for your input Nicci..After I read the papers the doctor gave me on the test I was feeling alittle scared..Glad it isn't going to be to bad... I will def. be glad when its over..I really, really don't want another surgery.. But, I am tired of this incontinence. and having to wear pads everyday..It only seems to be getting worse since my lapband instead of better, as I was told it would help...and we are going to Disney world in Sept. and I don't want to have to hunt for the closest restrooms... I had an UGI in Jan, it wasn't too bad. It went pretty quick. You stand, on a table while drinking this stuff they give you, they want to see how your body does as it goes down. They lay the table down, have you do it again, etc. It went really quick. Good luck with all your tests!

yes, the test was easy... The doctor will get the results later today..Hopefully nothing is wrong and it was the fact that I needed a little unfill....Thanks everyone...Lucky
