What Are You Eating Today ? 4/23

Well, might as well be very upfront I had a very bad weekend   My son was busy with friends all weekend  hardly saw him , my hubby has been gone for over 2 weeks due to work taking him away from home and on top of that PMS !!   I just got so lonely , and depressed and I ate my comfort foods this weekend :o( .   I didn't over eat at any one meal I just snacked alot a little of  this and a little of that and alot of Pringles Ranch chips.

I worked my ass off last week and I self destructed over the weekend..   Missing hubby along with PMS just done me in .

I did not get on the scales this morning mainly because when I start my period I will gain anywhere from 5 to 10 pounds and after the weekend I had I just didn't need to put any more guilt on my shoulders .

Today is a brand new week,  hubby is on his way home and I have a big Busch Gardens vacation to think about in July and want to lose some more weight before I go.

Breakfast    none I just wasn't hungry

Lunch
    perfect portion chicken breast , 1/2 cup of green beans and 1/4 cup of cottage cheese

Snack    Apple or Greek yogurt

Dinner    4 oz of turkey roast,   green beans, and cottage cheese


Exercise   60 min of Extreme Zumba

Water lots and lots of water to get this sodium out of me :o(

Sorry you had a bad weekend, but glad to see you are back on track! Good for you.

B: 1/2 wheat bagel thin with ff cream cheese
L: 1/3 c chicken breast, 1/4 c black beans and 1/4 c brocolli
S: yogurt before hitting the swimming pool
D: ??? don't know yet

walk around the bay for an hour
trying to get all my water in still.

Don't feel too bad about your weekend. I ate pretty bad too and gained .8 pound. At least you are back on track and can recognize why you didn't do so well :)

Breakfast: 1/2 Atkins Protein bar

Lunch: 1/2 portion Red Lobster Parmesian Crusted Talapia (from last night)

*Stuck on the stinkin fish, so liquids for me the rest of the day dad-gum-it. I don't know what it is with my band and talapia or shrimp. Gave up on shrimp, finally, and may have to do the same with talapia????????*

 I have to chew fish very carefully and thoroughly, otherwise I will get stuck. I think it is the texture and how fish like just flakes apart, so you just want to swallow it own without even realizing it was not chewed/broken down enough.

Thanks, Tina, I gave shrimp 3 tries just to be sure I took small enough bites and chewed enough.  I will give talapia another try too.

Early: eas protein shake
B- 1c fiber one cereal with 1c 2% milk
L- 2oz mini meatloaf burger with 1/4 spaghetti sauce 1/2 sweet potato & 6oz Greek yogurt
D-1 cup chili and 1oz corn bread sliced thin and made crispy on a frying pan so my band would not reject it! Was delicious
Snack- Honey wheat cracker stix with 2% Mozzarella ,cheddar cheese stick.


water,decaf Coffee

Exercise 1 1/2 miles on treadmill with incline
Did my 2ND 5k Saturday morning and beat my first 5k time by almost a minute! My 3rd 5k is Saturday,
I am very proud of myself..before surgery I would be all out of breath just walking!

My new Mantra, No excuses. I'm trying to change my bad attitude. Oh, and if I have a stress hissy fit and need to eat, I'm going to try and eat veggies instead of something not so good for me. I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks everybody . I knew you all would understand what I went through. Today was a good day so far right on track with food. My calories are a little to low though but I figured after this weekend its alright lol.

Mari good for you on the veggies and something good for you to instead. You can do it.

Congrats on your 5K Mary. That is something I want to do by the end of the summer . You are doing great !!
