Weigh****chers and Lap Band together??
VSG on 12/02/14
My daughter and I were talking about my weight loss journey..She asked if Weigh****chers would help me instead of getting all the fills and unfills... What do you all think??? Are there any bandsters out there that do WW and have the band, and how is it working for you??? I did WW before my surgery a few yrs ago and it worked but as always I gave up.. I was wondering how WW worked with the band,, I don't do rice or bread.. Right now I think I am to tight (previous post of mine) so if WW would help me instead of dealing with the fills and unfills..I would try it again.

I did weigh****chers- didn't have success, just wasn't ready. I think it could be a good thing, you may have to tweek the food plan to work with your band. The meetings are very motivating. I am thinking about joining. I have regained weight, and want to loose about 15 of it. I think it's worth a try! One warning, I have read on here that WW looks down on wls, so you may want to keep it to yourself there. Good luck!
Just like the band, WW is a tool, so to me, it helps. I believe Lisa O has been doing it. It seems the longer we've had the band some of us need something else to help with the WL, this is not a easy journey and what ever you need, I say go for it. Some people go to O A, some get their meals delivered. WW may help with the "head" part of losing weight and keeping you on track. Good luck.

I went back to WW at about 6 weeks post Banding.
I lost weight for 18 months straight and got to my goal and to Lifetime (130 pounds).
I love my meetings, the information, support and scale accountability.
I don't think that it had any influence on my fills or un-fills --- I still went to my surgeon every 3 - 6 weeks to get fills at first, and I got un-fills any time I needed one.
WW helped me understand what makes up a reasonable portion, how to select high-quality, low-points value foods and be satisfied on less.
My band is a great partner to WW ---
