Best of luck with your revision!  I know you have worked hard with your Band and you would like to keep it forever!  I think it's important, we do what we need to do to be healthy and happy!

oh Jean, I am so glad you got approved.  I hope this means that your insurance is going to pay for it.

Thanks! A follow-up upper GI study a week after my complete unfill showed absolutely no esophageal dilation, so that's a relief. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my motility issues are resolving as well.

 best of luck to you.  i had a band in 2006 and had to have it removed after 2 prolapses.  i too mourned the loss of my band.  be happy you are getting a sleeve.  i didnt at the time and i regained all my weight and here i am thinking about getting a sleeve, but im scared.  im scared ill have the same horrible issues i had with the band.  im starting to research and ask alot of questions so id love to hear your thoughts on everything.  thanks

I'm not sure my thoughts on everything will help you deal with your fears. The sleeve won't cause a prolapse as you had with your band. What other problems did you have?
