Hello fellow banders it's been a very long time since I have posted and I am now in need of advice.  Okay so I'll try to keep this short last November my doc took about 2 cc out of my band since I had gotten very sick so then over the holidays I put on about 10lbs give or take.  Went in for my 2 year follow up and got a 1.5cc fill I believe.  Now I'm still stuck at the same weight and to make matters even better my thyroid decided to give me fits again and my endocrinologist noticed I had put on 10lbs since my last appointment in December (I saw her in March).  Instead of upping my synthroid I told my endocrinologist that I was having surgery and going off the pill (the pill can affect synthoid).  So on April 5th I had a Thermachoice 3 uterine ablation due to horrible cramps since I was a teenager and heavy period.  I also had my tubes tied since one you have a ablation it is dangerous to get pregnant (I have no children), he also found out that I had endmetreosis.  So I'm a little more than a week out from surgery and feeling okay went back to work yesterday but now I wonder when I should get a fill again.  Is it too soon, should I just suck it up and start working out harder and eating less or put duck tape over my mouth??  I just feel like I got off the wagon and I have a pair of Levi's I want to be in to by the 28th for a concert and deathly afraid on the scale saying 170lbs.

My feeling is....we got this surgery for a reason.  If you feel you need a fill why would you deprive your self of a fill?  The way I look at it is, if I'm doing my part...eating right and exercising...and I'm still not losing.  Then HELL yeah I'm getting a damn fill!!!!  So I say "go for it"!!!!

I just wasn't sure since I just had surgery a week ago if I needed to give my body a break and wait a little longer before getting a fill.  I don't know I just know every time I step on the scale I have such disappointment in myself.

I say your body needs to recover. I have had my tubes ties, had a hysterectomy and then my ovaries out. Remember how your body had to recover when you had your band placed. I would give it a couple weeks. Take care of yourself.

You are definitely motivated and it will work out.

You ABSOLUTELY need to let your body have time to recover from this surgery, sounds like it was pretty involved. Personally I would wait 3-4 weeks before starting to get any fills and if they give you trouble then don't be afraid to get a small unfill if necessary. You have alot of things going on in yourtbody right now so give it a break for a few weeks. Best of luck to you!
