If this post isn't for you, happily move on.  That's not what she was saying.   She's looking for a positive support buddy,  if you aren't positive or happy with the band, you won't be very supportive to someone who is.    I'm sorry that you've experienced complications, but we haven't and may never.   Some people are just band bashers, period.

Actually, she claimed that she "needed to get this off her chest" and then insulted those of us who have had bad band experiences and still post here.

I support people here all the time, actually. I don't leave when I don't care for the tone or contents of posts. For me, support is being honest and truthful.

I hate the band, it happens after it almost kills you, but I don't hate PEOPLE with the band and I am VERY supportive of anyone who needs support (whether it's a pat on the back for a job well done, a shoulder to cry on b/c things are not going as planned, etc). That is what some can't understand and lose site of, just because someone is negative about the PRODUCT, does not mean they can't be supportive to the PERSON, too many people take our complaints about the band personally like we are insulting their first born or something.

You won't find a more positive person then me, but I am not going to dance along and say "Oh the band is fantastic, rush right out and get one" b/c support is not about telling someone what they want to hear without giving them the truth with it.

Thanks Trip.  You know, nothing in life is perfect.  We just need to deal with the hand we are given.

Attitude is everything and it sounds like you're quite positive.  That's the way to be.

I hope your day is wonderful.  It is gorgeous here, but of course I can't be outdoors enjoying it.  Work takes precedence today.  :)

Thanks for your note.

Exactly! We all need support for what is currently happening to us, and that means that even though some are having issues, it does not mean that it has to be seen as a negative or a drawback to the "support" that this forum is offering. It's all a learning experience, and we take what we need and want and give back when we can by sharing our own personal struggles AND victories.

It is amazing here today, I am dying to go for a run but I need "fresh" legs for my race on Sat so I am stuck! Although I think I am going to toss the little guy in the stroller and go for a nice long walk, soak up some Vit D!

I do feel for people who have had issues with their bands, and I was not knocking them by saying I am looking for a positive buddy.  I really just dont understand how tearing down someone else makes their own situation better??  I was stating what I need and there is nothing wrong with stating what you need especially on a "help" based website.

I am envious of your long walk... I can see the sunshine, I just can't bask in it right now.  How old is your son?

Oh I agree, personal attacks are NEVER the way to go and it does not help anyone, my comments about that where not really directed at you, more just a general observations about what sometimes goes on here. Nothing at all wrong with asking for what you need, just have to remember that it's the Internet and you are going to get all sorts of responses no matter what you ask for (kind of a beautiful thing, kind of a PITA all at the same time LOL).

My little guy is 2, my big guys (triplets) are 9, I waited and I am going to drag all four of them on a five mile hike around our local reservoir!

What a great mom you are to start your kids off exercising at a young age!  They will be so much better off for it as they grow up.

You get the #1 mom award for today.

That was a snarky post and not at all what or who I want to communicate with.

Keep your attitude and envy to yourself or save it for folks that want to tangle.  I for one am not here for that.

I will not reply to you again, I don't have time for petty games or irritants in my life.

I am 31/2 yrs out. I'm very happy with my band and have been able to keep my weight off. I still wish I could lose 10 more lbs but if I don't it's ok. I know it's my fault and until I try harder I won't lose it. But I can eat anything and everything with no problem so I'm happy. I would love to be Band Buddies.
