REPOST: Why I chose the Band
For me it's never about what is being said but the spirit of the message. Many justify what they say based on trying to help others, but when it gets personal, mean and just down-right evil, I feel the intended message is nullified. I tend to write that kind of content (and it's messanger) off as well, crazy!
Thanks Bette!

Lisa,
Seems like that is alot of that going around on this site lately people just being pure mean and evil towards each other. I just dont have the desire to even post anymore but on a very few threads. I like to post on the eating post helps me stay on track and help the new ones coming in to see what you can eat .
Other then that seems like lately it dont matter what you say , something will be twisted and a fight will start out . I have enough stress in my life dont need it from here also.
What is even sadder people are assuming if you dont post anymore you ( in general speaking) are having band problems and we are running away from this site. I dont have band problems I'M over a year and half out now , not a single problem , but I have no desire to get into the ******g contests that seem to be going on around here lately .

My band was the right choice for me, as well.
The other surgical options were too much for me and probably still are.
I take good care of my band, and hope that it lasts a long while. I am also learning to choose healthier foods in reasonable quantities.
If the time comes that my band has to be removed, I hope that a subsequent surgery won't be needed. But, if that comes, I will again make the best decision for MY life, based on all of the information at hand.
