I have never had dry skin on my face before.  I usually run oily.  But in the last couple of months it is so bad that I actually peel.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I am a Oil of Olay person.  Most of my skin care products are from them.  For dry skin I use once a week

And I also us this regularly

You also need to use a moisturizer every night and every morning use a sun screen before you put your make up on.  Olay has lots of products for mosturizures I personally like the Regenerist line the best but you can make up your own mind.

Bottom line you need to exfoliate...but not too much.

I also use bare Minerals makeup.  Love it!!!  I went back to drug store make temporairly and hated it.  It felt greasy and cakey.

I had a problem with real dry skin when I moved from Alaska to Wyoming, I started making my own soaps and bath products when I was a stay at home mom. Now due to the lack of time I order all od mine from www.thesoaplady.com . not sure If Iam
allowed to post the web site or  not sure someone will let me know if Iam not suppose to. Her products are great , she has a cucumber face bar thats fantastic. they really ore great for dry skin

Also, are you drinking enough water? That will make a difference too.

Cold winter weather often causes dry skin and our heating systems also can add to the problem. More water and a good moisturizer should help.

I am an aesthetician. What do you use on your skin daily? How much water do you drink?

I drink 54 oz of water a day.  For years I have used Mary Kay Velocity cleanser.  I don't like the lotion because it rubs off when dry and makes my skin look flaky.  About 2 months ago, no matter what I do, my skin is dry and really flaky.  I bought a bottle of Oil of Olay heavy night cream, but it is not helping.
My lips are also pealing.

Has your skin been more sensitive? Try a gental cleanser and you probably need to exfoliate all the dryness off. You will probably see a difference with the moisturizer if all that dry stuff is gone. Sometimes are skin gets too use to one product so it's good to change it up a bit.
