I hope Carnie Wilson checks out the forum before getting banded
I have not had breakfast yet. Yeah I know..........I keep strange hours. Anyway..........between you and Heather, food is all I'm thinking of now! So as I think about your Mexican food, and her 2 blocks of awesomeness NY food............I'll be going in the kitchen and fixing oatmeal or grabbing a protein bar. :-(
I think a trip to MX and NY to visit my wanna be new best friends is in order!

Oh Maria...
You have NO clue what you are missing until you try a tortilla made by a little old lady. OR... the crazy guy that lives a block away from me. Seriously, he is schizophrenic. But the schizophrenic guy, OMG, he makes the BEST tortillas!
The poor guy, due to mental illness he can't hold down a job, so he sells what he knows how to do and this guy, he knows how to make tortillas!
A couple of weeks ago he was over here and I offered to order pizza if he would call in the order, he speaks Spanish, I do not. He speaks English and Spanish. Not yet. I am Spanish stupid! We ordered a pizza and he was not happy, he said he could do better with the crust. Darn sure, the next day he came over with his own pizza and he was right, it was seriously good. We put Alfredo sauce, fresh garlic, and chicken on it and it was the best pizza I have ever had in my life!
I'd put up Juan's pizza to ANY NY pizza any 'ol day! Well, especially, a MX pizza. ;o)

malasorbtion of calories is a myth. malabsorbtion of nutrients is the malabsorbtion component. check latest research..but the hormonal component in rny is the most useful in weight loss. No, not really. Malabsorption of 33% of calories is not "nothing", it is something. Thing is, it just doesn't last a life time like DS does. RNY DOES indeed change the hormonal component of the gut digesting food, but even that only lasts so long and then it turns on you and your body does a 180, thus... the regain.
The only one of the 4 major WLS types that does not change the hormonal chain reaction is the band and quite frankly, that is what we need.
