I have lost a total of 41 lbs since I started this journey back in August. Since surgery I have lost 12 lbs. I have to say exercise is the key to my success. When I don't exercise, my body stays at the same weight. I am able to eat whatever and don't have any issues. Today I go for my first fill. I'm am excited and nervous. I want to fill some type of restriction. I know this might still be off in the future to fill restriction, but I'm one step closer to the new and improved ME!!!!! I will post new pictures later. Everyone at work is noticing now and making comments. Even people I only see very liitle at work are commenting.   It makes you feel good.

Good job!

Remember, tho, that you are still in the healing stage. Best of luck on your first fill. Be VERY cognizant of your eating, chewing and overall tummy feelings for the next couple of days. If you have any issues with fluids not going down, call your doc's office immediately.

Make sure you get post-fill diet instructions from your doc, and DO NOT leave the office without taking about 5 minutes to sip some water to insure that it's going dow. It's better to find out THEN that your fill was too big, rather than having to go back.

You have the key. I also believe that exercise is the key to WLS success.  At almost 4 years post-op, I have seen many people in my local WLS support group change over the years. I observe that those who integrate regular exercise are apt to maintain their weight loss better than those who do not.

Good luck Betty! I had mine two weeks ago and go in next week for my second. I didn't have any problems and followed the liquid for two days and mushies for a couple days.

I was terrified to do it, but it went fine and now I am ready for the second one.

I also agree that exercise is key. I was on vacation for the past week and didn't exercise like I usually do and put on a pound. ;(

Back to the pool tonite to get it off!

thanks for the support. I had 6 cc put in a 11 cc band. I can feel the difference. Eating very mushie food for 36 hours then I can slowly advance again.  I posted new 4 week photos. Not too much difference.

Wow, can't believe you got 6 cc right off the bat.  Dr gave me 3cc after six weeks and could not tolerate it.  He had to take most of it out because the water would not go down.
