We are not negative, we are just being realistic!

I don't think its has much to do with the tone, when I say people are being negative. I don't mean when they are telling true accounts of problems they have had with the band. I think everyone needs to hear that. When I say people are being negative its because I see the same post over and over saying your band will fail, 100 percent of bands will fail etc. I feel people need to know the pros and cons but they don't need to be told their band will fail or they will have to have another surgery when they are not having problems or even if they are, some problems can be fixed with out surgery. You say people have their own opinions based on their current experience I agree. But when I see a post that says some one hasn't been on because their band failed or probably failed or having problems. How do they know that( I am not saying you said that) just saying in general. We all need to be a little more respectful in our post. I know when people are telling their experience because they really want people to be informed or when they are just being an ass and hopefully others see that also. Its a very emotional time for some when they are trying to decide what surgery to go with or they are having problems . A lot of the negeive post are not dirrected towards newbies. They are directed to people with bands telling them how bands fail.We all want newbies to be informed and to make a decision that will give them the best chance but we also know all weight loss surgery's have risk not just the band.~But when I see a post that says some one hasn't been on because their band failed or probably failed or having problems. Well when we see them hiding from the lapband forum and posting on the revision forum instead...........then we know, lol!

Did Dr. Curry post on the revision forum? Just asking lol

Anybody know about the other band cheerleader? I see the site bandsterme has been taken down. I'm not familiar with that site. Who's was it?
As far as our band cheerleaders. Bette is still doing awesome with her band. Kate I believe does not post b/c she was upset with OH reposting members info on FB. I believe she is still doing well with her band. I think she posted that she still comes on OH and checks her mail. Jean appears to have moved on to a different band forum where she tried to sell the book where ppl didn't know she was getting rid of her band cause the band or her failed. Nana still makes her occasional "supportive" posts. Melly has had a very difficult time with her band and has revised to VSG. I think Lisa O. and Dev are having some issues. Brock is back again temporarily. I doubt he is doing any better with his band though. Steph was gone for about 6 months and did a post the other day, but didn't mention her band at all. I suspect it's not going very well. Gurenica was on a month or so ago. Don't think she's having a lot of luck with the band right now, but in fairness, that could be b/c of all the prednisone. That lady has just been through soooo much! :-( Our band Granny is doing great! There are several other cheerleaders on here that are now having issues with their bands as expected............ALTHOUGH THEY STILL LOVE THEIR BANDS! Lol. A lot of others have just "disapeared". That seems to happen a lot when band complications start. :-(
And just to add.........as everyone know, I don't like band cheerleading, but some of these band cheerleaders I have mentioned are wonderful people and aI think the world of them. Just b/c we have differences of oipinions does not define who we are, and although I don't agree with them on band issues, there are several that I mentioned that I respect very much.

Sandy "R" told me that the chronic pain issues I was experiencing were my own fault. She refused to entertain the thought that the referred left shoulder pain had a "medical" reason. What a brainiac. I was getting **** from my "surgeon" and when I turned to the "support" group, that's what I got. Fun times.

The fact that you come back here and try to help others after all of that says so much.

Yeah I kind of think of Bette as the Mayor of the band forum. ;-)
As far as Sandy, several have asked about her. I would bet anything that her band crapped out on her as well only she's in hiding from OH like another band cheerleader as of recent, lol. You know I think that some of the band cheerleaders may have honestly believed at one time that the band was everything they said it was.........but once they found out differently, they really do a disservice to anyone researching the band to not correct their info and let it stand as they wrote it. One bandsters even advertises read my book " to learn how to live happily ever after
with your band." Really?! Like it worked for you?!?!?! Lol. Just seems dishonest. But then again..........that's just my opinion.

HAHA.. Sandy, the nurse imposter. I believe that is how the board of nursing referred to her. Remember when she used to change the results of peer reviewed studies to match her opinions? HAHA Remember when she would use fake IDs but forget and sign off with her real name?
She was something else. Whatever happened to her? I heard she had major band problems and had to have it removed. She was apparently upset with Kuri for not doing it pro bono and then she went off on Kuri on the boards. Started telling everyone not to go there, blah blah blah...
