I just qualified for a revision to the sleeve for what you described.  My surgeon told my insurance company that it is too hard to monitor weightless, with so many things effecting my restriction. He didn't think my insurance company would go for it, but thankfully, they did!

Girl, I hear you loud and clear. I had mine placed 2 yrs ago and have lost a total of 26lbs-- 10 of which I gained back. I haven't been back on this board in probably more than a year bc I felt like such a total failure and wanted to just give up.

My band has NOT been as advertised and I have serious regrets about getting it, too. The latest is learning that my abdominal pain from the port moving when I do crunches or Pilates is " Not uncommon" and the solution is to avoid core and abdominal exercises..... Seriously. I thought this was supposed to help me get healthy, not get in the way of it. I was told I would never feel my port, it wouldn't move, I could do anything ( movement/ exercise wise) with it... Not so. I am furious.... It wasn't bad enough that the darn thing wasn't doing its job or helping, not its outright getting in the way.

I just wanted to chime in and say I totally understand. I am there, too. And I have changed my approach to counting calories with the my fitness pal app and working out 6/days / week plus second workouts in a day as often as possible... Just no pilates, crunches, sit ups, medicine balls, planks... Grrr.
