calories per day?
I'm not really a calorie counter, I tried to focus more on eating healthy than on calories. I tried to do high protein, lower carb, sugar and fat. I cut back on the things that weren't healthy, either less often or a lower amount. And I have added some healthier options like Greek yogurt, more chicken, barley, almond mild, whole grains. The only time I really look at the calorie count is when I think I might be getting in too many for a particular day and then I'll kind of evaluate what I've had so far that day.
What works for a lot of ppl would not work for me.........like food journaling, weighing. There are some members here that do the "challenges" that they post here to motivate them. Different things work for different ppl. I think the key is to find what will work for YOU. And yes..........I know........easier said than done.

I did good to lose 1 lb a week even with 800-900 clories a day. The only time I lost alot of weight a week was back in the day when I ate 500 calories a day and lived on cigarettes and coffee. Can't do that these days so we plug along at maybe 1/2 lb a week, if that. Like Maria I tend to be more concerned with healthier food than calories or weight lose. Good luck tho!
