REALIZE Band on 03/27/12
I just wanted to do a quick update for all of who either just got banded and want to compare notes, or those who will banded soon.
First let me say that everyone's body is different and everyone will have their own experiance.
I'm on day three and am still pretty sore but getting better each day. I found out yesterday that I am allergixc to percaset (sp)? So, I need to call my dr today and get something else.
I stayed one night in the hospital and was grateful for that.
My poor tummy is already growling for some substanance in it, but thankfully my mnd is not hungry so the tummy rumbles are ok. :)

I keep dozing off so I Am going to end now with my most imortant opinion through this recovery. walk walk walk. It's amazing in releasing the gas from your body
. I've had a lot of gas, but thankfuly I haven't had very much shoulder pain from the gas, and I truly contibute that to walking.

If there are any other people wish to add experiance, that wouod be great.

God Bless!

I'm 6 days out and just joined, so haven't read many posts.  I was also pretty sore 3 days ago and started wondering if I would be ready to go back to work on Monday, but this morning I feel like a different person.  The soreness has decreased so much.  I wonder if the rumbling will ever end.  I wasn't hungry at all for the first 3 days, so the clear liquids didn't bother me at all.  I did get a lot of shoulder pain, but that's mostly gone now. Went to the grocery store and walked a lot on day 4.  Maybe that was a little ambitious.

I'm trying to figure out how to use the site and add a progression of pictures to document my progress.  I lost about 10 pounds in the 2 weeks before surgery and will weigh again tomorrow at my 1 week post op appointment.  So far i'm thrilled to have made this decision.  Looking forward to much improved health in the months to come.

Congrats to both of you! I'm just pass my 3 month mark and remember well those first few days. Walking is a tremendous help and I walked at least twice a day (farting and burping the while time).
I went with the Realize band and had restriction after surgery. Yesterday I got my first fill (4cc) and will be on liquids a few days.
