It wasn't meant to be nasty. Just an observation.....If you were on here often you would know that it hasn't improved any.

I don't think the band has improved at all. There are different sizes, but that doesn't seem to make a difference in how the band is tolerated by most people.


In fact, this article on ABC News shows that nearly half the people who have had bands need removal.

I think we'll be seeing more stories like this one in the near future, unfortunately.

Maybe someday there will be an actual cure for obesity, but I think we're looking at somewhere pretty far down the road yet.

You know I wish they would put Dr. Garth's show back on tv! It gave greater exposure to obesity and how WLS can help overcome that and improve health. But what do they do....they cancel a show like that and keep renewing Jersey Shore! lol

He used to be a speaker at the OH conferences. I with they still had him! I think his dad is going to be a speaker at the WLSFA Vegas Meet & Greet if I'm not mistaken. :-)
