How quickly we forget!

Was banded in November 2011....lately been having trouble with food getting stuck....and that uncomfortable feeling....didn't want to believe that the band's too tight.  So I got to thinking about what/how I've been eating lately...

How quickly we fall back to old habits!  Took notice to the size of the bites I've been taking and what I've been eating.  Realized it's my fault!  I've been taking much bigger bites...and pretty much eating anything!  Haven't gained any weight...but haven't lost anymore, either!

Today I'm being very conscious of the size of the bites - and how much I chew it!  Feel much better!!

Just saying....

That's so true, I always cut all my food before I ever start eating that way I don't get distracted and start shoveling.

REALIZE Band on 02/02/12

I realized the same thing. I seem to skip meals which I know i'm not supposed to, and then come dinner time, I am taking big bites of food and not waiting in between bites. This whole lap band experience is such a learning curve and made me realize how  "abnormal" my eating habits are. Now if I can only change them!

Same thing happened to me. I was in the "I chewed that enough" delusion.
I have become RE conscious of every bite I take and how I chew it. It takes your attention to do this. I was always a mineless eater.

I totally understand what you are saying.
