today is the day!!!!

 I am getting banded at 5pm today! I can't believe the day is final here. It's so sureal! Thank you all for the preop support. I will be back soon with a ton of postop questions I'm sure very soon.

Good luck, Theresa! This is my first time on here, and it feels wonderful to have a support group  I will get banded on Thursday, this week, March 29!  So, excited!  Debbie

I am tentatively getting banded April 27th. Waiting for approval. I will be very dissapointed if I dont get approved. Keep you fingers crossed.

Will be praying for that approval for you!  I am 3 days post op, and feeling good!  Had a setback, had to stay one night in the hospital, due to not being able to keep anything down, but, just a small blip in the road to better health!   So, far, I am feeling great, and just excited to be moving along on my new journey!    Debbie

Good luck to both of you. I am 7 months post op and doing great. Took longer than I wanted to get restriction, but I was patient and am now 45 lbs lighter and feeling wonderful!! Keep those goals in your mind and you will succeed!!

I found this board immeasurably helpful for the support and questions I had when I was first banded, and now, 3 years later, I still come back (less frequently for sure), when I need a kick in the ass or to remind me how far I have come.

I am 8 weeks post op now and down 49 pounds.

Only 8 weeks and down the much. Hooray for you. I am so glad to hear good news like that.

 I'm home now. everything went really well.  My surgeon and the hospital staff, were incredibly great people and always made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I'm really really sore, but am happy to be home finally.
