Ok so I have had my band 3 years. I have lost 100 lbs..still have 50 to go but I have been stuck in the same spot for about a year. If I tighten my band anymore I Vomit my own spit...Been there..not fun..So Im back to watching everything i eat and hitting the gym again..Started with Zumba and elliptical and weights..Alternating every workout....No results..Added Insanity Videos..No results..Got more strict with diet..Measuring everything no sweets no sugar no butter..Olive oil Chicken or turkey only..Cant eat bread..mainly salads..baked Kale (my new addiction) and pumped up workouts to burning 1000 calories a day and I have gained 4 lbs...I slowed down the workouts and no change..I am losing my mind over here. So incredibly frustrated! My trainer wants me doing morning and afternoon workouts however I do not have that much time available or i wont ever sleep. Has anyone had a similar issue or have any thoughts???? I am willing to try anything at this point..I am almost out of motivation!!

REVISE! That's the best advice I can give you. It seem the band has taken you as far as it's going to. If you're doing all that and not losing, you may need a malabsorptive procedure. You might want to check out the revision forum and also the FB failed band group.

Good luck!

Sorry. I was just trying to be realistic. You have worked your ass off to work with the band. Sometimes that's just not enough. Some need malabsorption. You might want to chat with some former bandsters on the revision forum and get their take on this. It just seems as though you are doing everything possible to succeed, sometimes we have to re-assess and take a different route.

Best of luck to you, and congrats on the weight you have lost!!!

no need to be sorry! maybe came off rude surely mean to. fully appreciate the advice and knowledge. agree that may be the way to go but think willing to go thru all of that again. just had a tummy tuck and comfortable in sme parts just not my legs and we can decide where r weightloss comes from so can learn to be content.I still workout bc feel good doing it just kill myself to get there 2 hrs a day 6 days a week if its not gonna work..I think hve fully demolished my metabolim and n fixing it tis time lol

Oh no! You didn't come off as rude at all. In fact I'm the one that usually comes off that way. I just kind of call them as I see them, and it doesn't always go over very well at times.

Congrats on the TT! And as far as the legs........I know what you mean. I knew my abdomen would look bad, but I was totally unprepared for how my thighs would look! But I look at it like this..........I would rather have excess skin than excess weight! :-)

hmmm..that is a tricky one to give advise...you know how every body is different. Maybe have a lazy two weeks without gym (or only a minimum) and then kick-start it again? Plateaus suck, but hey, 100lbs is amazing- no need for another surgery in my eyes..Hang in there, with enough willpower you can get through it, I know it is really frustrating!

are you eating enough calories ? Eating not enough calories can stall a weight loss also espeically the way you are exercising . My trainer told me that . Sometimes eating less is not the answer to losing weight . I started to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day . Snacks are like greek yogurt, carrots, a piece of fruit and I lost 4 pounds in a week just by eating more .
