what can you feel?

Hi Everyone,

I got my LAP-Band done 12/1/11.  Since then I've had 4 fills.  With each fill I've had success, more success on some fills than others, but I tend to believe it's really all my fault.  I can trace it back to a holiday, birthday, business dinners, meetings or such, and it's what I've selected to eat rather than anything else.  To note...I can't exercise because I need a hip replacement, which I get next month!  right now I'm down 54 pounds.  I would like to be down 60 by the time I get to April 9th, my surgery date.

My question is....can you feel your port?  Can you feel tightness there too?  There are days that I feel like I've followed the diet...feel full and even my port feels tight.  Does that happen to anyone?  Some days I get the hiccups so bad.  It's awful...I can't eat anything for a while.  I guess I just wanted to compare how I feel to how everyone else feels...

Any answers?

I only feel my port if I touch it or if I sometimes twist too far, too fast with some weight to my lest as my port is only right side. I did feel the tightness with the port after surgery for a couple of weeks but that has gone away.

I have lost 154lbs and I still only feel my port unless lie down and press down and purposely feel for it.  I do core strength training as part of my exercise routine and I never feel anything with my port with that either.

As far birthdays and holidays...I treat myself.  I am not 100% always on good behavior.  This past weekend as I had popcorn at movies (you know how fattening that is!!!).  I have cake at birthdays.  I have cookies at Christmas.  I just don't go overboard.  I lost 154lbs but I still have treats...but I eat healthy 90% of the time and I work out 6 days a week.  (which you can do after your hip surgery!!!)

Thank you all for your comments.  I just would like to hear what everyone else feels.
I'm happy with my LAP Band and know that I've only lost 54 pounds since its placement on 12/1/11...I think it's good, but can only imagine that once I get my new hip and am able to start walking and increasing my movements that I will lose much more easily even if I cheat.  I also treat myself on those occasions.  If I know it's coming, I can plan for it.

I really look forward to just walking more!

Keep the comments coming!
