Hi All,

My husband wants to take the family out tonight for dinner.  I'm in the mushie/chew chew chew stage and have NO idea where I can go or even what to order.  I'd love to take a night off from cooking and cleaning but hoping you experienced banders will have some restaurant/entree suggestions!

Thanks!

Don't panic and be afraid to go out to dinner.  This is going to your way of life for a very long time.  I can always find something to eat off the menu. Sometimes it takes me a while. LOL

If you are going Mexican, you can always eat the bean's and guacamole.  Any thing you can mash with a fork is going to be ok to eat.

If it was me I would have a protein drink just before leaving. Then just order a appetizer - anything that mashes good.  Even it is a little mash potato off someones plate.  This is the best and cheapest way to go.

If it is cold you can get some yummy soup.  Just make sure to mash the vegi pieces in the soup with a fork before eating.

Ooh potato soup sounds so good right now. LOL
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

Every restaurant will typically do what ever you need. Just remember to ask for no oil, no fried. They will chop up your meat or even put it in a blender for you if you ask! Even soups.

Enjoy, I eat out almost every day since I don't cook. Most restaurants are on MyFitnessPal too so you can look up the nutrition before you get there or ask for a nutritional menu.

You can also go Italian and get a Lasgana or stuffed shells and eat the riccota only.  Make sure it's a meat free variety.  You'll have a pile of noodles left on your plate but it will taste yummy.
