Losing again... YAHOO!

Certainly I have not felt a feeling of starving since I had surgery. In that aspect, the band works perfectly. That doesn't mean that my body is reacting in the same way. I read that at too low a calorie intake, you are doing more damage than you realize and messing up your metabolism. The old idea that you have to intake energy n order to expend energy seems to be holding true.

"A few drops of hope can water and nourish our garden" - Jean M
I had gestational diabetes during both my pregnancies. I passed on pasta, potato and white rice, noodles and sweets of course...and just ate really good, very much like the diets we're all on now. During my pregnancies, I lost weight while eating as much "good food" as I wanted! Lost 28 pounds with the first baby. 36 pounds with the second! I was burning it up as quickly as I ate it. Both kids were good sizes...my first, a daughter weighed in at 8 pounds 2 oz. My son, my second one in which I lost the most weight with, came in at a whopping 11 pounds, 2 oz! My doctor said, "congratulations, you just gave birth to a 3 month old!" Who knew you just had to get pregnant to loose weight...was the joke I kept hearing!

Well let's hope I can keep up the trend I'm on. I'm feeling good about my efforts to make good choices or at least limiting the bad ones lol! Thanks for the food for thought Lisa.
