Question on new band placement
Hi Betty,
It is normal. It's most likely from the CO2 gas used to "blow out" your abdomen during surgery.
The best thing is to walk as much as you can to help get rid of the gas. If that pressure doesn't go away in less than a week or so, talk to your surgery, most definitely, though.
Feel better and heal up well.

Yes it's normal, your band has been stitched in place, and it may be slight pain and pressure until you heal, if you experience severe pain you may need to contact your surgeon.
You may want to apply a heat pad and take liquid Tylenol to help with the pain or discomfort.
