Slip!

I went in for a fill yesterday...they did a swallow, since I haven't had one in ages, and they found that I had a slip.  My pouch was hanging underneath the band - it almost looked like a small ball was in there!

I had no symptoms whatsoever!   My last PB was on New Year's Eve!

I was at a 7.2 when I went in last year and couldn't eat - I was 4 months pregnant, so they dropped me to a 6.6 in my 10 cc. band.

Long story short...I was deflated - all saline removed from band - and I have to be on liquids (WITH NO RESTRICTION) for 2 whole weeks.  Then a week of mushies.

Do you know how hard it is to do nothing but liquids when you have NO RESTRICTION?

Help!!

Sorry hun!  Just do what your docs are advising you to do so that you can have the best possible result.  Why/how are you a revision?

I wish you the very best!  Hang in there.  You can really get creative with liquids & mushies  REALLY!

I know it will be VERY hard to stay on liquids without the band helping.......just do your best, and keep envisioning your band going back in to place.  One day a time!!  Good luck!!

Just know you are far from being alone there are lots of other bandsgers who have had similar issues and made it thru to the other side. Do the best you can and come here to vent, we're all here for you!

You did make it a lot longer than most bandsters do though! How long had you have your previous WLS before you revised to the band?

Sorry to here about that.  You can do it!  I just went two weeks on liquids with no band at all.  It was hard but there is an end in site.  Just stay away from tempation.  I wouldn't go into the break room at work for lunch.  I would make my protein shake and sit at my desk.  Hang in there.
