pulling pain at port area
So yesterday was the second time where i experience pain at my port, the first time was about a week ago while driving to the city, traffic was bad so i was sitting there for bout 2 hrs after 8 hours at work of just sitting. when i felt the pain i unbutton my girdle-which doesn't really hold much i just wear it to wear and it felt better still had the pulling sensation once i got home it felt better just felt sore. yesterday morning i did some exercises and then some walking and lots of bending, so when i was sitting on my way home i started to get the pulling sensation once again , so i removed my girdle and it felt better then my skin felt sore... I immediately called my surgeon and schedule and appointment to see him tomorrow i also been looking at previous post and calm down some. any advice?
I get pulling sometime especially if I work out my midsection either by exercise or sitting for a long time a certain way.........my theory is that since the port is attached to the ab muscle if worked or stressed it would affect it. It is more of a discomfort for me than a pain
Keep us posted.......I hope it is nothing major....

You will want to avoid very tight fitting clothes especially girdles in your first year, this will cause your port area to throb, it takes a long time for that port area to heal firmly and form scar tissue.
Also as you lose weight you may experience port discomfort because the port may shift especially if you lose large amounts of weight, so as long your port area is not hot or warm to touch and no signs of infection you may experience some discomfort while you are losing weight.
