Hi everyone! I see a lot of "Lap Band Slang" words used often. Can someone please give me the run down of what those words mean? What is sliming? I was banded 2/2/12, so I am completely unaware of what these words mean.

Sliming is a mucus type "vomit."

Thank you for responding! And yuck! I'm sure I will be experiencing that along the way, I can't say I'm excited about it!!

I have only experienced it once in 13 months and it happended this past month.  I ate some dry pork chop way too fast and felt stuck and suddenly the slimming started. It was not pleasant. But it was my fault. This is not something that is a normal  part of lapband.

Sliming is super gross and for me sometimes it happens very suddenly and I can't keep it down...it has to come up.  It's an excess of saliva and mucus in the esophagu that is produced to move food through but if there is too much food or you are stuck it basically has nowhere to go but up!

I have an issue with sliming when I'm stuck or semi-stuck and then drink on top of it. (Obviously being lazy and not following the rules) It is as if that liquid just has to come back up.
