FEBRUARY 2012 BANDSTERS
REALIZE Band on 02/02/12
Hi everyone! I was banded on February 2nd. I was wondering where you all are as far as weight loss and what you are eating. I have lost 19 pounds and am eating mushies.
I look forward to getting to know you all!
-Anna
I was banded Jan 30 and am down 33 from my highest weight. You should be starting to eat real food now. Makes a difference! I am scheduled for my first fill March 15 and am nervous because I am comfortable with my current rate of weight loss! I still have not felt really hungry yet. I am now eating 3 very small meals a day, about 700-800 calories and no snacks. Little exercise each day because I am a pool exerciser and can't get back to the pool until mid-March.
You are doing great!

33 lbs?
That's AMAZING!!! I hope that I see the same type of weight loss!
I'm still on mushies and honestly, I have no idea what to eat. My diet consists of yogurt, fat free/sugar free puddings, and tons of cottage cheese. After the previous weeks, I do not want to see soup for the rest of my life Haha! I am often hungry @ dinner time. For breakfast, I have a muscle milk lite protein shake. For lunch I eat a 4oz cottage cheese cup and a little while later a sf pudding. Dinner is a real struggle, I have no clue what to eat! As far as exercise, I've only been doing some walking so far. I plan to kick it up a notch after I see my Dr next week. Have you had your first fill yet? I'm hoping to see more weight loss after the fill and to help me not be so hungry around dinner time.

Hi Anna,
Welcome. I am 8 weeks out and I've lost 35 pounds in that time plus 21 before surgery. I've had to buy new jeans! I still have restriction from whatever fill they added at the time of surgery, but no other fill as of yet. I'm seldom hungry between meals (though maybe now noticing a slight increase). I have had two episodes of stuck food but other wise doing well. I "eating" the first four weeks, hang in there and you'll be able to chew food again!

I was banded 2/10 and will not get my first fill until 3/19, and I really can't wait! My doc told me when I went back for my post op visit that I really didn't need to worry about losing just healing. But I am! I want to be 150 as of yestday, wouldn't that be cool! Would love to be friends with several who are Feb 2012 Bandsters! Linda
I had my lap band surgery Feb 7th. I am feeling good. The best part is I was off my Diabetes meds by the end of that first week. Feel wonderful without those. I have started adding the puree poultry and fish. Last night was the first time I went out to eat with my husband. He had a steak and shrimp and I had onion soup with a few of his shrimp. I have New Whey Liquid Protein the has 42grms of protein. I like this better that the shakes. I put it in a glass with ice and add some water so it isn't so thick. I have that in the morning then maybe a yogart for lunch then soup for dinner. I see the dr next week for my post op. Hope all will be good from that.

You all seem to be doing amazingly well! I am having a hard time with getting enough water down. I just found out yesterday, that this Saturday, I will have my first fill. Hallelujah! I'm so excited, hope it all goes well.
I have to say from reading your posts about no longer being on medications after having the surgery such a short time ago, I am impressed. Keep up the good work everyone! To healthful lives.
re:Linda, I completely understand how you feel. I wish I was half my size last week! HAha!
