Jean,

I just want to say thank you.  When I first had questions about my new lap-band, you were there.  When I needed to figure out other things, your book was there.  I had Lap-Band surgery on Jan 7, 2011.  I weighed 215 when I started this journey (I was 232 at my highest weight and I'm only 5 feet tall) and I now weigh 127 and feel amazing.  I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this forum helping and supporting all of us that needed that help and support.  I also appreciate all the time and effort that went into your book and I know it has helped many.  Whether you have a lap-band or don't have a lap-band, it doesn't matter.  THANK YOU for helping my road (and many others) so much easier!!!!!

Here's wishing you the best, now and always!

Kathy

I love you Jean I have been wondering where you have been. I am so sorry that your band isn't working. It scares me to death thinking that some day mine will quit working too. I can't go back to the weight I was at. I can't stand to think about having to use an insulin pump again. I had to pay cash for mine and I can't afford another one. Lot of Love and Hugs you mean so much to me!!!! Renea

I TOTALLY agree. Thanks Jean. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do!!! I bet you could maintain your weight without the band.

Jean, I just came from my surgeons office. They made a hand out for patients about optimal vs sweet spot-info. I gave them from your book. I told them they needed to give you credit though. You have helped me soooooo much! K

To Kathy and everyone who posted on this thread...

Your words brought tears to my eyes. After watching Maria F and others dancing with glee over my misfortune and acting as if my current band problems somehow invalidate everything I've ever said or written about the band, I was both pissed off and discouraged. Hearing your words of gratitude and support means the world to me.

Thank YOU!

Jean
