What are we eating, today??
Hey Nikki,
The egg fast went well, I did that for 3 days then added meat in the last 2 days, I lost 4 lbs, and didn't regain after returning to my normal no more than 20 net carbs a day eating over the weekend. I would recommend to get out of a plateau. I had been yo-yoing the same few pounds for weeks so I think this finally got me out of my rut.

Did you do yolks all the time or just some of the time? Or use any egg substitutes? I love eggs but they don't always love my band so the prep for me would depend on how my band is acting.
I'm also thinking about maybe doing the plateau busters diet - I've never done it before but lots of people on the board have.

I did use yolks all the time and didn't use any type of egg substitute. I bought a crate of 60 eggs and I was good to go..lol. My band has given me issues with plain scrambled eggs so I have to make sure I have something on them to get them down typically. I ate a lot of egg salad when I did the fast, my version of egg salad is mashed boiled eggs with mayo and a bit of mustard with the egg whites and yolks, that was quick to prepare in advance and I didn't have to worry about having any band issues when I ate that.
I have done the plateau busters diet before, I found the egg fast to be a lot easier to stick with and more convenient for my lifestyle. When I was on the plateau busters diet, I had to cook a lot which I don't really enjoy or have the time to do.

I can totally be down for egg salad!!! I thought you were eating straight like hard boiled eggs, scrambled and fried and nothing with them. I'm ok with scrambled too if I have something on them but if not I get stuck and it the scrambled egg stuck is not a good stuck!
I'm going to consider this as part of a week long ...fast, plateau or what I decide to do.
My band has been completely psycho for the last week which is scarying me a little so I need to work on a few things before committing to a plan.
I went from starving a few weeks ago and thinking I needed a fill to (most likely stressed induced) very tight moments particularly throughout the day when I am at work where even soft foods like cottage cheese are bothering me. Going to see how things are over the weekend when the seas are calmer. I keep a fairly loose band so certainly do not think I need an unfill - just some 9-5 tension and stress relief!
Thanks for the info!
