Then have something sugar free or have some dark chocolate...there's nothing wrong with having a little.  Moderation.  I buy things in single packs to make sure I don't over indulge.  But if you don't even want to do that have an apple with a table spoon of peanut butter....my favorite snack.  It's a great snack!!!!  And it's good for you!!!

I feel that I must have chocolate, I really donn't care for peanut butter, but I will give that a try..... I have been told  by a friend that my thyroid meds my not be working, and that can cause the cravings??? never heard of that, but I go to the dr soon I will ask...  just wondered if anyone else had ever had this problem... the craving is like taking over... almost  like during pregnancy... but I KNOW that I am not pregnant... just  weird....
Thank you for replying.

Atkins Indulge Nutty Fudge Brownie protein bars! Break one in half and ENJOY a wonderful chocolate brownie with low carbs and added protein.

total bar:  170 calories, 2 g net carbs, 0g sugar, 7g protein, 6g fiber (thus marking down the net carbs)

I never craved sweets or chocolate like I do now with my band! My thyroid is fine! It's a head thang!!!

I am one year out from getting my band and now have 6 cc in a 10 cc band.  My doctor says that should be adequate and I am having difficulty eating very much.  As you know most things chocolate go down very easily with a little chewing.  I have that same craving and have to admit I have given in and after loosing 40 pounds, I have stopped loosing.  I hope someone can tell us how to get rid of the craving.  I am addicted to chocolate.

One thing to try to a hard candy that is chocolate flavored.  It last a long time and usually has fewer calories than any soft chocolate.  My problem with having a small portion of other things is that I don't stop with just one.  I keep having one more.  I want to get going again, but my head is really in the way.

Not sure if this would help but I eat cottage cheese with pineapple when I want sweets.  Ooooh what about a sugar free fudgsicle?!  Okay...now I want one!  lol

I'm the same way and I've found that if I absolutely force a protein shake down the cravings go away in a matter of minutes.  It's just being strict and choosing the shake vs. the chocolate...lol....I get bad sweet cravings at night...I find if I grab the shake it does the trick, and the next morning I've usually dropped some weight too!!
