This is a question for anyone that has had a port replaced.  Could you tell any difference after having it replaced as far as if you felt like the band was working doing a better job as far as keeping you feeling full?  I realize diet is th major key to all of this but I am so tired of feeling hungry all the time.  Thanks.

It's possible you may always be hungry. The band does NOT work for a LOT of people! After 17 fills it has NEVER worked for me the way it's advertised! :-(

The answer depends on why your port is being replaced. If the replacement is because your port was leaking, then yes, the replacement should improve your restriction (because saline will be going to your band instead of into your abdominal cavity) and that, in turn, should help you reduce your daily caloric intake.

If your port is being replaced for some other reason, I can't see how it would affect your restriction and therefore your weight loss.
