For Saturday (I'm posting a little early, going out of the house for awhile)
First I'm posting a sample menu from a different bandster posted on a different web site, and second a suggested list of what to eat, posted on this forum by OH (so people can see what some others are eating and what the OH site, suggests). I am not at my WL gaol still losing weight.

Breakfast

Steel Cut Oats with a 1/2 scoop of protein powder, a few raisins, and a few walnuts, cinnamon, and splenda brown sugar blend

Or, a smoothie made with light yogurt, frozen fruit, splenda, and about 1/2 or skim milk, and a scoop of protein powder.

Or, scrambled eggs

Or, cottage cheese and fruit

Usually, lunch comes to 300 to 400 calories

Lunch

I make up batches of low fat protein foods on the weekend when I have time and freeze them in one cup plastic containers to take to work, so that I don't go out and buy too much food. Some of my favorites are.

Turkey Chili
Black Bean Soup
Chicken Stew
No Crust Quiche
Turkey meatloaf

I have a piece of fresh fruit that is in season. Right now, I love Honey Crisp Apples.

Usually, dinner comes to 300 to 400 calories.

Dinner

Grilled fish, I really love salmon
Grilled chicken
Salad with a small 3 oz can of tuna
Salad with feta cheese
Every now I have a small beef steak

I try to have a vegetable with my dinner.

Again, dinner usually comes to 300 -400 calories

Or, if I go out to eat I look for low fat grilled food.

Good Food Choices (BY OH)

1. Fruits and vegetables

·         1 to 2 servings of fresh fruit daily

·         2 to 3 servings of fresh vegetables daily

2. Breads and cereals

·         1 small portion of low-sugar cold or hot cereal

·         1/2 to 1 slice of toasted whole wheat or rye bread each day.

Note: some patients have difficulty eating bread.

3. Meat, fish, poultry, eggs
1 oz. to 2 oz. of meat, fish, or poultry or one egg each day. (Remove all visible fat from the meat. Remove the skin from poultry. Prepare the meat in ways that need very little fat. Grilling, steaming, microwaving, or boiling are all good ways to do this.) Note: some patients have difficulty eating meat.

4. Dairy products
Milk and yogurt are calories in liquid form. However, these types of food have calcium, which makes them an important part of a healthy daily diet, so choose a maximum of 2 cups of skimmed milk or low-fat yogurt and 1 oz. of cheese a day.

5. Fats
Restrict the use of fat to 3 to 4 teaspoons of margarine, butter, or oil per day. You can have low-fat salad dressings and mayonnaise in moderation.

6. Drinks
Drink as many calorie-free liquids per day as you wish (though not with meals).Suitable drinks are:

·         tea or coffee (black) with low-calorie sweetener

·         water

·         non-carbonated beverages containing few or no calories

Some doctors have reported that carbonated beverages may contribute to enlargement of the small pouch and recommend they be avoided.

This is what I ate, today.
B: oatmeal
L: tuna salad
D: 1 taco
S: corn
S: plum
3 bottle of water

How about you??

Like the other bandster on the other form, I try to make my food for the week on Sunday, and store them in individual small container as well. It really helps keep me on plan during the week usually.
I ate a lot better today than I did yesterday-my sweet cravings have been getting the best of me.
B: 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard
S: Cheese and pork rinds with 1 tbsp ranch-2 rasberry hershy kisses-1 bite of ice cream
D: Chile Chicken Monterey with mashed cauliflower..first time trying 2 new recipes..so delicious but I ate a bit too much
Later: Some low carb chocolate bark, first time making this as well, I'm not sure how it's going to turn out
48 oz of water so far..hoping to reach 64 before bed
