Let me get right in it, have no insurance because my job doesnt provide any and i make "2 much" to qualify for medicaid :/ my grand father passed away last week had to travel to dominican republic for 5 days for his burial- ate bad foods :( came back to nyc broke took all my savings to get there and back. Got my check from work and bought a metrocard $104 which didnt work so had to send it to MTA and buy another metrocard. just found out my taxes return was taken by irs :/ so no big $$ for me!!! trying to get back to exercise but im mentally drained :/ only good news is i lost 2 pounds over this madness of a month!!!!  so need some encouraging words guys life is kicking my butt!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I feel you with the money situation...I think most people do lately.  Are there any other programs in NYC that provide help with insurance?  I think you would find that if you push past the exhaustion and get in a workout, it would help you both mentally and physically.  I know it easier said than done.  Today is beautiful though...take advantage of it.

One the brighter side...great job on the 2lbs...honestly I probably would have GAINED 2...if not more!  Keep your head up!

You might look for a meetup  group for WLS support. I found a free one in my area that meets once a month. There are others so I could go almost weekly if I felt like it.

If you have been without insurance for more than 6 months you would likely qualify for PCIP. Check out PCIP.gov. It isn't super cheap, but it is cheaper than most private insurance options.
