The panniculectomy will remove the skin below your belly button, basically the apron of skin.
My tummy tuck will remove that skin, plus he will tighten my abdominal muscles, he will do a mons lift, excise the belly button and remove my muffin top....or the skin that is currently above my belly button.
I did not even ask how much the panni alone is because I want the whole package.
My surgeon said that I will probably get some additional tone in my upper thighs because of the lift.
I lost 130 pounds and have been at my goal for a little over a year.

there is a huge difference between the full Tummy Tuck and the panni removal. If you have the panni removal, some insurance companies will pay for it, if you can prove medical necessity. Rashes, chronic back issues etc... My ins wouldn't cover any thing plastic surgery related, regardless of the fact that I had lost over 300lbs at the time. I had a full TT in 2009 and he tightened my muscles, made me a new BB and raised my mons area. I loved it. I had chronic back issues because my excess skin was extremely heavy and lower. This last May, I returned and had an Anchor Cut TT done with a Lower Body Lift and a full Thigh lift along with my face lift. Worth every penny! I went to Dr. Saucedo in Monterrey Mexico. Excellent care and a very skilled surgeon who kept me in the hospital for one week and then in the Hampton Inn for another 2 weeks. He paid for everything, including my airfare, a visiting nurse daily to help me shower and wash my compression garments. He visited every afternoon!
Many get the panni only removed because the ins covers it and they don't have the money to pay for a full TT. Others will augment what the ins pays and just get the full TT.
Go to some plastic consults, most are free or only charge a min. ask to see the pictures of the panni only and the TT. If I were you, personally, I wouldn't have a panni removal only. Those I have seen are very unattractive and the person is left looking very malformed.
this is just my opinion!
