Going in to get some saline out
My band is always a bit psycho.....tight and then just right.....loose, tight......
He drives me crazy!! Yep, my band is male! ha ha
I have been trying to eat better starting in January (I took a couple of months to indulge a bit during the holidays) but my band is just not tolerating solid protein enough.
I had a slip 2 years ago that required surgery to fix. March will be 2 years that I had my band repositioned. I don't have any of the symptoms of a slip....no reflux, never have any days that I can't get liquids down, and I rarely PB. If I do PB, it's usually my fault. I might have a stuck episode once ever 2-3 weeks AT THE MOST.
My surgeon is 4 hours away, so I think these things through carefully before deciding what to do. I am tired of not being able to eat my delicious, band-friendly and healthy meals. My boyfriend and son are enjoying them, but I turn to bad stuff when I can't eat. I will grab some chips or crackers....love crunchy and salty.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/party3.gif)
So, I finally made the decision to get an unfill. I haven't had any saline ADDED to my band in 14 months. IMy appointment is just a little over 2 weeks away.
I really am hoping that taking a small amount out will help....but I will trust my doctor and see what he thinks. Yes, I will mention to him again that a revision to the sleeve would be good, but if he still thinks my insurance will not go for it, I will work my new fill level, the best that I can. I suppose my esophogus needs the break anyway,
*sigh*
Onward I go!
