Normal?
I am 6 months post-op and just have gotten restriction! YAY!! 6.5 cc in my 14 cc LapBand and doing fairly well. I am slowly learning what I can and cannot eat. I have had some stuck episodes as a result of poor food choices as well.
I have a question about a few things that I have noticed. Is it normal for your stomach to growl, rol, make noise alot? Even when I am not hungry, it seem to do this. I also have a lot of belching and gas. Just wondering if this is par for the course.
Not complaining at all....I can deal with these things now that I actually feel like the band is working for me. 35 lbs down and % lbs from wonderlad!!

Stacy, Hi. I am 7 mos post op and I have 9cc in my 14cc large band, I am a BOBster, Band over Bypass. I say yes. For me, when its been 4-5 hrs since I've eaten, I get hunger pains, my stomach growls, etc. Early on, about 2 mos post-op, I'd have hunger pains that were so severe (well, I thought they were hunger pains) and went in and had some texts done, come to find out I have an ucler. The pain would only go away when I ate, and it coated the ucler. I took nexium for about 2-4 weeks and it went away.
As for the beclhing and gas, yes, I had it a ton when I was first banded and a lot in the last month, I think its bc I've finally hit the right spot with the band. While I've had restriction from day 1, my 9cc seem to be the spot where I am eating less. I've lost 3lbs since my last fill 9 days a go.
GOOD LUCK!

I am 6 months out also, GAS... omg. I can burp up to 20 minutes after drinking or eating.
I lost track how many cc's are in my band, the last fill in January was only .5 and I will be getting another fill this month. I have good days and bad days with restriction.
I had my first gain last week, because I am stupid and ate too many mixed nuts! I re weighed and took almost all of the regain off. I am more careful and I am not buying any more big cans of mixed nuts. lol
I am so glad to see this post. I am 2 and a half months out and I am concerned about getting to the right spot with my fill. I have had 3 adjustments and this last one seems to be good, but I still feel hungry between meals. I have 6 cc in a 13 cc band. I think it is mostly mental hunger. I have had a couple of episodes of food being stuck and almost had some food come up 2 times so I am afraid if I get much more it will be too tight. Am I the only one who obsesses like this? I have lost 25 lbs. since surgery, that is good progress, but I want to be as successful as possible.
I do experience alot of belching and trapped gas that is painful in my shoulders. There is not a good support group in my area. I need the input of people going through the same things.
