leaking port

 Has anyone had to have a port or band repaired?  I have had mine for appx. 4 years and have started having problems with it leaking.   Can anyone give me details on what the repair entails and also the approximate cost.  My insurance will not cover anything.  I had to pay myself the first time and I am not sure how I will be able to pay again!  Any infor is appreciated.  

I have been lucky to need a port replacement not once but 2 times! It is similar to the band. Its not that hard of a procedure. As for cost, I have no idea. I'm sorry you are having trouble. Hang in there. K

You've at least made it longer than most before having band issues. But as I have said on here over and over again.......hardly anyone makes it 5 years with their bands..........and if they do..........they usually have had to have at least another band surgery! The band is a horrible choice for cash-pay!!! (I am one also).
