I was told to put mine in applesauce.
Are you talking about heartburn meds ect?

It is my cholesterol and blood pressure medicine. I oam still on clear liquids so I didn't think I could do the applesauce yet. My blood pressure was still about 116/68 when I left the hospital so I wasn't too concerned.

Sue --- if you can't get them down with water, I would do a small spoonful of applesauce or yogurt to get the meds in.

Bless your heart.  At this point, I've never had to crush my meds but I do have to flush with LOTS of water.  My WL doc took me off my cholosterol med, which was the largest pill I had at the time.  However, my PCP put me back on one I cut in half, 6 months later.  I can even take the glucosamine monster size pills now.  BP pill for me is quite small so it has never been a problem. Hope someone else has a good idea for you.

Try warm liquids.  When I had my surgery my dr sent me home with vicoden prescription. I was told taking them whole was ok. OMG!! The feeling of being stuck was horrible. When the nurse called to check up on things I told her and she told me to use warm liquids and Jello. It helped alot

Someone told me to drink a cup of hot liquids before trying to take pills.

Also, after about a month, I no longer needed so many pills and especially the big ones.

Some medications can be found in chewable or liquids which helps.  For a time, I seemed to not have much problem swallowing medium size pills, but since my last fill, I am having a lot of problems.  I cut the ones that I can, then take them one at the time over an hour while I sip on warm chocolate protein Atkins shake mixed with low fat milk which taste like rich hot chocolate.

Good luck.  You don't have to have that stuck feeling which is horrible, just take it slow with warm liquids.
