What are we eating, today??

Mari, they are delish!  There are only a few things my band doesn't tolerate well, at this restriction.  I have wondered if that changes with more restriction?  It would make sense that it would change.  My band doesn't like MOST white meat chicken, and you can forget it if you try to reheat it and dry it out even more.  I did find out that I'm OK with the boneless skinless thigh meat, recently.  It also reacts to really soft bread.  If I pinch (like my doc says) and eat bread very slow, sometimes it's OK and sometimes I head for the papaya enzymes.  Back to the almonds.  I like them so much, and they satisfy well as a snack that I chew each one a LONG time because I don't want my band to fuss.

My band did change as fills were added. I can eat chicken, but forget ham. LOL

This is an example of how to have a bad day, plus I'm still at little restriction.

B mini Protein bar / via coffe with skim milk
Got to work realized I forgot my food at home and I was soo excited to eat it too!
L Planned - Curry and ricotta tuna salad with rye crisps and strawberries
L Actually ate - Starbucks Turkey egg breakfast sandwich (normally would have taken off top muffin peice but since no snacks and fill scheduled for thurs I wanted to see if I could eat it)
S mini protein bar I remembered I had in my purse and some chocolate covered coffee beans my boss brought back from hawaii for us
D Planned - Brocolli and steak in crock pot - only my youngest son locked hubby, brother and himself in the bedroom, so hubby couldn't add the brocolli when he was supposed to.
D Actaually ate - after coming home and letting the boys out we went to taco del mar and I had 2 chicken tacos on corn tortillas

So it was a day of comedy and errors but I still tried to make okay choices.

They are snacks made by a company called Kay's Naturals (used to be kay's bariatric but I think they got rid of the bariatric to gain non surgical clients).

Their products have a balance of protein, fiber and carbs so when eaten the carbs don't cause a surge in blood sugar (they aren't a trigger food for me either). I am a nightime snacker always will be but I can control it by having one small bag (has 1.5 servings in it)..

I have been trying to eat carbs with protein so I don't get carb cravings....... I only like the sweet bbq mix which is like a chex mix type with bbq flavor and I also get the lemon herb krunchez

They have a sample packet that they sell they are a little on the expensive side but have sales every now and then.

I buy them when I am trying to really watch my intake............ since I have been combining carbs with protein every time I have a carb my carb and sugar cravings have gone down.......I am also gluten free and they are so it helps...........
