I went today as surgeon requested to have a Barium Ex=ray...checking to see if I had a slip or Heital Hernia damage...Everything showed good. I was so happy..I didn't think anything was wrong but now it since my band has been emptied 2 months I'm wondering if I should leave it like that since in over a year that I got it..I can eat any meat or for that matter anything without food getting stuck...I saw a nutrionists last week and since I started that lost almost 5 lbs. I feel really happy the way it is right now...Just wondering what some of you might do..a little fill or leave it empty?...I see him again the end of Feb. for visit so I have time to decide..

If you're able to eat healthily and are loosing weight (if that's what you want to do) or maintaining (if that's what you want to do).. I don't see any reason to have a fill.

Fills are to help us control our appetite.  If your band is working without one.. why get one?

I agree with Lisa.  You can always change your mind later if you want to.

I totally agree if you are getting the results you want with it empty then leave it that way, less chance of problems down the road. I've been empty for several months and doing fine, I can fianlly eat healthy again! I still have enough restriction just from the band being there that I can't overdo unless it's junk food and I try hard to stay away from that. So if you can trust yourself and still control your eating I say leave it alone.

Hislady and Lisa are spot on. If it's working with just the placement of the band, then thank your lucky stars and enjoy the weight loss. Just take care to make healthy choices now. You will have considerably more flexibility and I'm sure that will challenge your resolve. But you're a strong gal, you can do it!

I imagine it feels great to have that peace of mind that the band is safe and you are undamaged. Congrats!
